Position Overview:
Citadel Security USA is adding an armed officer to cover transit-related work in the Dillon/Frisco area. This position involves a mix of being out on routes and checking transit locations, so the day doesn’t stay in one place for long.

A big part of the job is simply staying aware watching how things are moving, noticing when something is off, and stepping in when needed. You’ll be around the public regularly, so being steady, respectful, and clear in how you communicate goes a long way here.

You won’t be sitting behind a desk. Expect to move between buses, stops, and nearby facilities, helping keep things running safely and smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride along transit routes between stops while keeping an eye on rider activity
• Walk through bus stops, platforms, and nearby areas to check for issues
• Maintain a visible presence so people know security is on site
• Address rule violations, including unauthorized use of transit property
• Handle situations as they come up and follow site guidelines when taking action
• Lock and secure transit buildings once service hours wrap up
• Take note of anything unusual and write it down in a clear, simple way
• Keep in touch with supervisors and transit staff when needed

Required Qualifications:

• Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security work
• Ability to legally carry a firearm while on duty
• Valid driver’s license
• Comfortable working around the public and staying professional in different situations
• Able to stay alert for long stretches of time
• Dependable when it comes to attendance and showing up on time
