Pay: $75,000 per year

 

Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a Patrol Captain to oversee patrol operations across multiple assigned areas within the Denver district. This leadership position is responsible for supervising field personnel, supporting client relationships, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring patrol services are delivered consistently and professionally.
This role combines field leadership with administrative oversight and is best suited for an experienced security professional who can manage teams, respond to operational issues, and maintain accountability across patrol assignments.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Operational Coordination

  • Serve as the primary field-level contact for patrol clients and site representatives
  • Assist with onboarding new patrol accounts, including site walkthroughs and operational setup
  • Conduct routine client follow-ups to review service quality and operational concerns
  • Communicate client updates, concerns, and operational changes to district leadership
  • Support relationship-building efforts to maintain strong client satisfaction

Patrol Operations Management

  • Supervise Patrol Lieutenants and District Officers during assigned shift hours
  • Monitor patrol activity, route completion, and officer accountability throughout each shift
  • Ensure patrol assignments are completed according to post orders and client expectations
  • Respond to escalated incidents, emergencies, or operational concerns in the field
  • Coordinate staffing adjustments and shift coverage as operational needs change
  • Support daily patrol scheduling and deployment efforts

Leadership & Workforce Development

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance oversight for patrol personnel
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate updates regarding procedures or client expectations
  • Address performance concerns and document incidents when necessary
  • Assist with onboarding and training of newly assigned patrol personnel
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, and operational consistency across the team

Compliance, Reporting & Safety

  • Enforce company policies, patrol procedures, and safety requirements
  • Review and submit daily shift reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation
  • Identify operational gaps or compliance concerns and implement corrective action
  • Utilize company systems, including TrackTik, for scheduling, reporting, and patrol tracking
  • Ensure all patrol activity aligns with applicable laws, licensing standards, and company expectations

Additional Duties

  • Assist with patrol-related business development efforts when needed
  • Support emergency response coordination alongside district leadership
  • Provide field coverage for patrol assignments when staffing shortages occur
  • Perform additional operational or administrative tasks as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Guard Card required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
  • Personal firearm required and must comply with company policy and applicable laws
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible swing shifts and respond to operational needs

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience managing patrol operations or multi-site security coverage
  • Familiarity with TrackTik or similar workforce management systems
  • Experience handling client communications and field-based operational leadership
  • Industry certifications or professional security credentials are a plus

 

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to supervise and motivate patrol teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of patrol procedures, post orders, and operational expectations
  • Effective conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
  • Strong report-writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security operations software platforms

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, drive, and travel between locations for extended periods
  • Frequent use of radios, computers, mobile devices, and reporting systems
  • Ability to lift or carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and remain active for prolonged periods when necessary
