Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Thursday to Saturday: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM | Every other Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM | Approximately 37 hours weekly | Overtime opportunities available when needed

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed presence within the facility
• Assist deputies and correctional staff with maintaining order
• Monitor inmate movement and activity throughout assigned areas
• Support inmate escorts and transport assignments when required
• Conduct security checks and observe for safety concerns or policy violations
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activity in written reports
• Respond appropriately to disturbances or emergencies following site procedures
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, deputies, and facility personnel
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and detention facility protocols

Required Qualifications

• Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security positions
• Personal firearm required and must comply with company standards and state laws
• Ability to pass background screening and site-specific clearance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to work overnight shifts consistently
• Professional communication and report-writing ability

Preferred Experience

• Corrections, detention, or armed security background
• Experience working alongside law enforcement personnel
• Familiarity with inmate supervision or transport procedures

• Fast-paced environment requiring consistent awareness and professionalism
• Frequent coordination with deputies and jail staff
