Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for an overnight post at a residential apartment Complex in Aurora. This position is mostly foot patrol and keeping an eye on things while residents are home and the property is quieter.
You will be working on your own during the shift, so being able to stay alert and handle situations without much direction is important. At the same time, this is a residential site, so how you interact with people matters just as much as enforcing the rules.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Walk the property throughout the shift, including buildings, parking areas, and shared spaces
• Stay visible, just being present goes a long way in preventing issues
• Watch entry points and step in if someone’s not supposed to be there
• Handle calls, noise complaints, or other issues as they come up
• Write down what happens during the shift, especially anything out of the ordinary
• Help residents when needed, while still sticking to site rules
• Follow post orders and company guidelines while on duty
   

Required Qualifications

• Active Guard Card
• Must have your own firearm and be able to carry legally under state and company rules
• Willing and able to complete Armed Certification through Citadel Security
• Comfortable being on your feet and walking for most of the shift
• Able to communicate clearly and stay professional in different situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Around a year or more of armed security experience
• Previous security work (2+ years is a plus)
• Experience dealing with residents, tenants, or customer-facing roles
