About the Role

We are adding a part-time roving security officer to cover multiple commercial locations in and around Owensboro. This position supports existing sites by completing patrol checks, responding to calls for service, and assisting with coverage when needed during assigned hours.

Roving officers spend most of the shift traveling between properties and handling site checks independently. Each location has its own instructions, so the ability to manage time, follow directions, and stay alert while working alone is essential.

What The Role Involves

• Drive between assigned properties based on set routes or supervisor direction
• Complete patrol checks at each location during the shift
• Walk exterior areas and parking lots to check for safety or security concerns
• Inspect doors, gates, and access points to confirm they are secured
• Respond to alarms, service calls, or after-hours issues as they come in
• Provide backup assistance to on-site officers when requested
• Watch for hazards, damage, or suspicious activity and report findings
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports before the end of shift

This role involves regular driving, walking patrols, and brief stops at multiple sites depending on daily needs.

What We Are Looking For

• Clear communication and professional conduct
• Comfort following different site instructions across locations
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Prior security or patrol experience is helpful, but not required
