Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage at a commercial property undergoing active construction in the Denver area. This position focuses on site monitoring, access management, patrol activities, and maintaining a secure environment during overnight operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and comfortable working independently while interacting professionally with contractors, vendors, and authorized personnel. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report security or safety concerns promptly.

Primary Duties

Site Patrol & Property Protection

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the property and designated construction areas
• Monitor building exteriors, perimeter fencing, gates, and access points
• Observe site conditions and report unusual activity, security concerns, or unsafe conditions
• Maintain a visible presence to support site security and discourage unauthorized activity
• Assist in protecting company and client property from theft, damage, or trespassing

Access Control & Site Monitoring

• Verify authorized entry for contractors, vendors, and approved visitors
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the property
• Support site access procedures and restricted area controls
• Observe ongoing site activity and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel

Incident Response

• Respond to security related situations in accordance with site procedures
• Report suspicious behavior, accidents, property damage, or safety hazards
• Maintain professionalism when addressing operational issues or policy violations
• Communicate important information to supervisors and designated site contacts

Reporting & Documentation

• Complete daily activity reports and shift documentation accurately
• Record incidents, observations, and patrol findings in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of security-related events throughout the shift
• Follow company reporting standards and client requirements

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
• Ability to pass a background screening consistent with company and state requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and professional work habits
• Comfortable working around active construction operations

Preferred

• Previous experience in security, site patrol, construction monitoring, or related environments
• Familiarity with access control procedures
• Experience completing incident reports and activity logs
• Ability to recognize and communicate safety concerns effectively
