Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring Event Security Officers to assist with venue coverage at a variety of events throughout the Denver area. Assignments may range from smaller gatherings to larger high-attendance events that require strong awareness, professionalism, and adaptability.
This role is active and fast-paced, with officers spending most of each shift moving throughout event spaces, monitoring activity, and supporting a safe environment for guests, staff, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain an active and visible security presence throughout assigned event areas
• Patrol venues on foot to observe crowd movement and monitor overall conditions
• Assist with entry point operations, including basic screening and bag checks when assigned
• Address minor disturbances, policy violations, or guest concerns professionally
• Monitor developing situations and notify supervisors of safety or operational concerns
• Communicate effectively with event personnel, management, and fellow team members
• Provide directions and general assistance to guests attending events
• Document incidents, unusual activity, or operational issues during assigned shifts
• Support venue safety procedures and follow event-specific instructions
• Help maintain orderly conditions during event entry, operation, and closing periods

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to interact professionally with the public in busy environments
• Comfortable working in large crowds and high-traffic event settings
• Reliable transportation to various event locations within the Denver area
• Ability to follow site instructions and operational procedures
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Must meet Colorado requirements for unarmed security personnel
• Dependable attendance and professional appearance required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous event security or crowd management experience
• Familiarity with access control, screening procedures, or guest services
• Current Colorado Guard Card or ability to obtain one
• Experience working in customer-facing or public event environments

Work Environment

• Event-based assignments with varying schedules and shift lengths
• Majority of duties performed on foot throughout venues and event spaces
• Indoor and outdoor assignments depending on event location
• Fast-moving environment requiring awareness and adaptability throughout the shift
