Vice President of Operations

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Vice President of Operations to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of security operations across the Nevada region. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role owns regional business performance, service delivery, client retention, and organizational growth, directly leading District Managers and Program Managers and setting the operational standards that drive consistent, compliant, and profitable service delivery across every district and contract in the region.
This is a high-visibility executive role for a leader who wants to shape regional strategy, build a strong management bench, and partner directly with the COO on market expansion and organizational scaling.
Responsibilities
Regional Operations Leadership
- Lead and develop District Managers and Program Managers across all assigned districts
- Set regional operational strategy, priorities, and performance targets
- Conduct business reviews of district and contract performance
- Serve as executive point of escalation for significant client, operational, or personnel issues
P&L and Financial Performance
- Own regional profit & loss performance, budgets, and capital expenditure decisions
- Analyze KPIs and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Present regional performance results and forecasts to the COO and executive leadership
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and contract pricing strategy
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Serve as executive sponsor for key regional and national client relationships
- Support new business development, contract negotiations, and client onboarding
- Partner with sales on proposals, pricing strategy, and strategic account planning
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Ensure regional operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations
- Oversee audits, site inspections, and compliance reviews; drive corrective action plans
- Partner with Legal, HR, and Safety teams on regulatory matters and risk mitigation
Workforce Leadership
- Recruit, coach, and develop regional leadership; build succession plans
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and a culture of accountability and service excellence
- Administer performance management in accordance with company policy
Strategic Planning
- Partner with the COO on market expansion and organizational scaling initiatives
- Champion technology and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Contribute to company-wide strategic initiatives as a member of the extended leadership team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in security operations or business management, including multi-site or multi-district oversight
- Prior experience directly managing managers (District Managers or equivalent regional leadership) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience owning P&L performance across multiple locations or contracts
- Experience supporting business development, contract negotiations, and executive-level client relationships preferred
- Advanced knowledge of private security operations, contract requirements, post orders, and SLAs
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen; proficiency in Microsoft Office and workforce management/reporting systems
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Work Environment & Travel
This role operates across a mix of professional office and field environments, with regular travel, including overnight travel to client sites, district offices, and meetings throughout the region. Some evening, weekend, or irregular hours may be required to support operational needs or emergency response.
