Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is looking for a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to help maintain a safe, orderly, and secure environment. This position involves routine patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate is alert, professional, comfortable interacting with people, and able to follow established procedures while working independently. Strong judgment and clear communication are important when handling routine concerns or unexpected situations.
 

Key Responsibilities

Patrol & Security Monitoring

• Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of assigned areas
• Check for signs of unauthorized access, unusual activity, property concerns, or unsafe conditions
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other security equipment
• Maintain awareness of activity throughout the assigned post
• Help protect designated areas, equipment, cash, sensitive locations, and other valuable assets
   

Access Control

• Verify identification when required by post procedures
• Issue visitor badges and maintain accurate access records
• Monitor and document employee, visitor, and other authorized entries and exits
• Follow established access control procedures and site-specific instructions
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas
   

Incident Response

• Respond professionally to disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and other security concerns
• Assess situations and take appropriate action within the scope of company policy and applicable law
• Apply authorized use-of-force procedures only when legally permitted and consistent with company requirements
• Contact and coordinate with law enforcement during serious incidents when appropriate
• Communicate important incident information to supervisors and designated contacts
   

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare clear and detailed daily activity reports
• Document incidents, irregularities, safety concerns, and other noteworthy observations
• Maintain accurate patrol, access, and incident records
• Use operational platforms and electronic reporting tools as required
• Provide timely information to supervisors regarding ongoing or completed security matters
   

Professional Service

• Assist visitors, employees, and other authorized individuals with security-related questions or directions
• Maintain a courteous and professional presence while on duty
• Enforce applicable property rules, post orders, company procedures, and organizational policies
• Protect confidential information encountered while performing assigned duties
• Maintain professional conduct and sound judgment throughout each shift
   

Required Qualifications

• Active Guard Card required
• Ability to perform assigned duties as an unarmed security officer
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain composed and professional during stressful situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete written reports
• Working knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and post orders
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality
• Dependable attendance and ability to follow assigned procedures
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, patrol, access control, or related experience
• Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and electronic access control
• Experience preparing activity logs and incident reports
• Familiarity with application-based operational platforms such as TrackTik, Belfry, or similar systems
• Basic understanding of emergency response procedures
• Experience working in an environment requiring professional customer service
