Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking an experienced Event Supervisor to help oversee hospitality and special event security operations throughout Colorado's Central Mountain region. This position supports the successful execution of events by coordinating field personnel, assisting with operational planning, and working closely with the Events District Manager and Event Director to ensure every assignment is staffed, organized, and completed safely.

This position requires frequent travel to event venues and is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional service standards.


Primary Responsibilities

Event Leadership

  • Supervise on-site security personnel during hospitality and special events.
  • Support daily event operations from setup through event completion.
  • Assign officers to designated posts using staffing plans, site maps, and operational directives.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust assignments to meet changing operational needs.
  • Provide leadership while maintaining a professional and team-oriented work environment.

Operational Coordination

  • Partner with the Event Director and Events District Manager to execute event plans.
  • Communicate operational updates, staffing needs, and event status throughout each assignment.
  • Assist with implementing client requirements and site-specific procedures.
  • Help ensure all event activities are completed according to company standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct and participate in pre-event safety briefings.
  • Reinforce safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Monitor event operations for potential safety concerns or operational issues.
  • Support incident documentation and communicate significant events to leadership.

Team Development

  • Provide guidance and support to Event Security Officers throughout each event.
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer service.
  • Help new team members understand event procedures and operational expectations.
  • Encourage teamwork while maintaining a positive work environment.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Utilize scheduling, reporting, and other computer-based systems as required.
  • Complete operational reports and event documentation accurately.
  • Communicate staffing updates and operational information promptly.
  • Assist leadership with post-event evaluations and operational improvements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to travel regularly to event locations throughout the Central Mountain region.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced event environments.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing new software and technology platforms.
  • Ability to successfully pass all required background screening.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, event management, private security, or related operations.
  • Experience coordinating staff for live events or large public gatherings.
  • Knowledge of event logistics, staffing coordination, and operational planning.
  • Experience working directly with clients, venue management, or event organizers.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop field personnel.


Work Environment

  • Frequent travel to event venues throughout Colorado's Western Slope and Central Mountain region.
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor event assignments.
  • Fast-paced environment requires flexibility and quick decision-making.
  • Weekends, evenings, and holiday work are commonly based on event schedules.
  • Regular interaction with clients, vendors, event organizers, and security personnel.
