Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring a Part-Time Armed Security Officer to provide supplemental coverage at a courthouse or government-related facility in Eagle. This role supports day-to-day security operations by helping maintain a controlled and professional environment for employees, public officials, contractors, and visitors.
This position is best suited for individuals with schedule flexibility who can step into assignments on short notice while following established security procedures and site expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Facility Security

• Maintain a visible armed presence throughout assigned areas of the facility
• Monitor public entrances, restricted access points, and interior traffic flow
• Verify identification and authorize entry according to courthouse procedures
• Help maintain order in public-facing areas while enforcing facility policies

Incident Response & Observation

• Observe building activity and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, or security-related incidents
• Remain alert and exercise sound judgment in high-traffic environments
• Follow all post instructions and operational procedures during each assignment

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, site contacts, and facility personnel
• Document security concerns, unusual activity, and operational updates promptly

Public Interaction

• Provide assistance and direction to visitors when appropriate
• Maintain professionalism during interactions with court staff, attorneys, officials, and the public
• Support a secure and respectful environment within the facility

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to meet Colorado requirements for armed security personnel
• Personal firearm required in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
• Strong situational awareness and decision-making abilities
• Professional communication skills and dependable attendance
• Ability to accept schedule adjustments or fill-in assignments as operational needs arise

Preferred Background

• Previous experience in courthouse, municipal, or government security settings
• Armed security, military, law enforcement, or public safety experience preferred
• Familiarity with access control procedures and incident documentation

Work Setting

• Structured government or courthouse environment with established security procedures
• Primarily indoor assignment with regular public interaction
• Position may require standing for extended periods and monitoring controlled access points
• Fast-paced situations may require calm and professional responses under pressure
