Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to provide security services for a commercial facility in Tulsa. This position plays an important role in protecting employees, visitors, property, and sensitive business assets through proactive patrols, access control, surveillance monitoring, and rapid response to security concerns.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a secure environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

Facility Patrol & Asset Protection

• Conduct scheduled foot and vehicle patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and surrounding property.
• Inspect entrances, exits, restricted areas, and perimeter locations for security concerns.
• Help safeguard company assets, equipment, and other sensitive areas from theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible security presence to discourage criminal activity and policy violations.

Access Control

• Monitor entry and exit points throughout the facility.
• Verify identification and visitor authorization before granting access.
• Issue visitor credentials and maintain accurate access records.
• Ensure compliance with established client security procedures.

Security Monitoring

• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and electronic access control equipment.
• Identify unusual activity, security risks, or operational concerns.
• Report equipment malfunctions or security deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain situational awareness throughout the assigned shift.

Incident Response

• Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, alarms, and suspicious activity.
• Apply company procedures and legal requirements when responding to incidents.
• Use reasonable force only when authorized, legally justified, and consistent with company policy.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and law enforcement during significant incidents.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete thorough daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Record observations accurately using company reporting systems.
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding operational updates.
• Protect confidential client and company information.

Customer Service

• Greet employees, contractors, and visitors professionally.
• Provide assistance and directions when appropriate.
• Foster positive interactions while maintaining security standards.
• Represent Citadel Security USA with integrity and professionalism.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Active Oklahoma Armed Guard Card required.   
• Personal firearm meeting company and state requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent observational and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Basic computer proficiency for report writing and electronic documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed security, military, law enforcement, or protective services experience.
• Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and access control technology.
• Experience using security reporting platforms such as TrackTik, Belfry, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures and post orders.
• Demonstrated firearm proficiency and commitment to safe weapons handling.
