Citadel Security USA is hiring Part-Time Event Security Officers to support concerts, festivals, sporting events, private functions, and other special events throughout Western Colorado. This role is ideal for dependable professionals who enjoy working in dynamic environments, interacting with the public, and helping create a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.

This position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities to work both locally and at out-of-town events. Team members can build a schedule that fits their availability while participating in select large-scale events as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Event Safety & Security

• Provide a professional security presence throughout assigned events.
• Help maintain a safe environment for guests, performers, vendors, and event staff.
• Conduct regular foot patrols of designated areas.
• Observe activity and promptly report safety concerns, suspicious behavior, or policy violations.
• Respond appropriately to incidents while following company procedures.

Access Control & Guest Screening

• Verify tickets, credentials, identification, or event access permissions when assigned.
• Conduct bag inspections and screening procedures in accordance with event requirements.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
• Help enforce venue rules and event-specific policies.

Crowd Management

• Assist with directing pedestrian traffic during arrivals and departures.
• Help manage crowd flow in busy event areas.
• Support orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions and communicate concerns to supervisors.

Customer Service

• Welcome guests with a courteous and professional attitude.
• Provide directions and answer general event questions.
• Assist attendees while maintaining a calm and approachable presence.
• Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism during every assignment.

Reporting & Communication

• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately.
• Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the event.
• Report emergencies, hazards, or operational concerns promptly.
• Follow all client instructions, post orders, and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a background investigation.
• Ability to travel for out-of-town assignments when scheduled.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to remain calm while working in busy public environments.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in event security, hospitality, customer service, or crowd management.
• Experience performing ID verification and bag inspections.
• Familiarity with alcohol compliance and event policies.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Experience working concerts, festivals, sporting events, or entertainment venues.
