Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable, experienced Contract Manager to oversee daily security operations, maintain strong client communication, and support the performance of assigned security personnel in Thornton, Colorado. This position combines hands-on security responsibilities with team leadership, administrative coordination, and client relationship management.

The ideal candidate brings at least three to five years of supervisory experience in private security, law enforcement, the military, or a related field. Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to resolve concerns constructively are essential. A reliable vehicle is required to travel between assigned locations and complete site checks.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Coordinate security coverage, monitor officer performance, and help ensure all assigned duties are completed according to established procedures and contractual expectations.
  • Conduct Security Inspections: Perform interior and exterior patrols, check parking areas and other assigned spaces, identify hazards, and address or report policy violations.
  • Maintain Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for the client, provide operational updates, participate in meetings as needed, and follow up on service concerns.
  • Lead and Support Officers: Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring team members. Provide constructive feedback and reinforce professional conduct.
  • Coordinate Staffing: Help prepare schedules, manage coverage gaps, respond to call-offs, and arrange additional personnel when operational needs require it.
  • Enforce Site Procedures: Communicate applicable rules clearly and respectfully, address disruptive behavior through verbal de-escalation when appropriate, and escalate unresolved concerns.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Assist with medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations, disturbances, and other urgent situations. Provide CPR, first aid, or Narcan assistance only when appropriately trained or certified and permitted by applicable procedures.
  • Manage Access and Building Security: Support opening and closing procedures, check doors and access points, and help maintain appropriate control of assigned areas.
  • Document Incidents: Complete accurate digital reports, daily activity logs, safety observations, accidents, policy violations, and relevant information concerning individuals who have been formally excluded from the property.
  • Coordinate With Emergency Responders: Contact and cooperate with law enforcement or emergency services when warranted, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Maintain Equipment and Records: Monitor uniforms, security equipment, and other assigned assets. Help ensure administrative records and operational documentation remain accurate and current.
  • Support Risk Management: Identify potential vulnerabilities, contribute to threat assessments, review incidents after they occur, and recommend practical improvements to procedures and service delivery.
  • Provide Additional Coverage: Assist with special events, staffing shortages, elevated-risk situations, or critical incidents when additional security support is required.
  • Promote Consistent Service: Reinforce company standards, encourage accountability, and help maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment for employees and visitors.


Required Qualifications

  • Three to five years of supervisory experience in private security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for required site visits and inspections.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead personnel, coordinate schedules, and address performance concerns professionally.
  • Sound judgment, situational awareness, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate policies respectfully and de-escalate challenging interactions.
  • Ability to prepare clear incident reports, maintain digital records, and complete administrative tasks.
  • Willingness to work the listed schedule, including Saturdays when operationally needed.
  • Ability to meet applicable background screening and other job-related requirements.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing client contracts or coordinating security services across multiple assigned locations.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, timekeeping, digital incident reporting, and security workforce management platforms.
  • Experience with officer onboarding, performance coaching, quality inspections, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Current CPR, first aid, or other relevant emergency-response certification.
  • Experience coordinating with emergency responders and reviewing incidents to identify opportunities for improvement.
