Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring Unarmed Event Security Officers for assignments across the Denver area. These roles support a variety of events, from smaller controlled environments to larger, fast-moving crowds. Each shift can look a little different, so being flexible and attentive is key.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll be interacting with attendees, staff, and vendors throughout the event. The job is less about standing in one place and more about staying engaged—watching what’s going on, communicating with your team, and stepping in early if something doesn’t look right.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence to help discourage disruptions or unsafe behavior
• Move through the venue regularly, observing crowd movement and activity
• Assist with entry procedures, including bag checks when required
• Address minor issues or rule violations in a calm and professional manner
• Stay alert to developing situations and respond before they escalate
• Handle incidents as they arise and notify supervisors when appropriate
• Help create a safe and organized environment for guests and event staff
• Make brief written notes of any unusual incidents or interactions

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a professional approach with the public
• Ability to stay level-headed in busy or crowded settings
• Willingness to follow post instructions and event-specific expectations
• Reliable transportation to travel between event locations
• Must meet Colorado guidelines for unarmed security roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working events or in a similar environment
• Familiarity with crowd control, access points, or bag screening
• Colorado Guard Card or ability to obtain one

• Event schedules may vary depending on client needs and bookings
• Most shifts involve standing and walking for extended periods
• Consistent performers are often offered repeat assignments
