Citadel Security USA is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer to support a commercial facility in Owensboro, KY. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to remain alert during overnight hours. Officers will provide access control, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control
• Monitor all entry and exit points
• Verify identification, badges, or access credentials
• Ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas

Patrolling
• Conduct routine foot or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking lots, and perimeter areas
• Identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, or property damage

Surveillance & Observation
• Stay alert and report unusual or suspicious behavior
• Monitor surroundings to help prevent security incidents

Incident Response
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies (fire, medical, theft, etc.)
• Contact law enforcement, fire, or medical services when appropriate
• Assist with evacuations and support emergency procedures

Reporting
• Complete detailed daily activity logs
• Document incidents clearly and accurately

Customer Service
• Provide directions and assistance to employees and visitors
• Maintain a professional, approachable presence

Rule Enforcement
• Uphold property rules and regulations
• Address violations calmly and respectfully
• Use de-escalation techniques when needed

Safety Inspections
• Ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure
• Inspect basic safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and exit lighting
