Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is hiring an Armed Security Officer for overnight coverage at a critical infrastructure site in Dillon.
This role covers a mix of access control, patrol both vehicle and on foot, and general site oversight. Nights are typically quiet, but staying alert and sticking to procedure matters especially when something does come up.
You will be working on your own for most of the shift, so being dependable and able to manage your time without supervision is key.

Primary Responsibilities

• Control access at entry points by checking credentials and approving entry
• Run scheduled vehicle patrols across the property
• Walk buildings, perimeter areas, and restricted sections of the site
• Watch for unusual activity, safety issues, or unauthorized access
• Maintain a consistent, visible armed presence
• Respond to alarms, calls, or incidents as they come in
• Keep clear, detailed logs and write reports when needed
• Stay in contact with supervisors, dispatch, or site contacts
• Follow all post orders and site-specific requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security positions
• Valid driver’s license
• Personal firearm required (must be carried in line with state law and company policy)
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Able to work overnight 12-hour shifts consistently
• Reliable, professional, and on time

Preferred Experience

• Current armed certifications or similar credentials
• Background in armed security, patrol, or access control
• Experience at secure sites or infrastructure-type locations
