Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is looking for a Field Training Officer (FTO) to work overnight shifts in the Denver area. This role focuses on working directly with officers in the field showing them how the job is done, reinforcing expectations, and making sure each site is running the way it should.
You will spend most of your time out on-site rather than behind a desk. This position is a good fit for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes pride in helping others improve.
Key Responsibilities
- Train new and current officers on daily duties and site expectations
- Walk through post orders, procedures, and company standards in real-time
- Visit assigned locations to check performance and overall site conditions
- Provide direct feedback and coaching based on observations
- Identify areas where additional training or support is needed
- Assist with onboarding and field orientation for new hires
- Keep supervisors and management informed on progress and concerns
Required Qualifications
- Active Guard Card required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Availability to work overnight shifts consistently
- Strong communication skills and ability to guide others
- Prior experience in security
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in training, lead, or supervisory role
- Armed certification or prior armed experience
- Familiarity with report writing and site procedures
Work Environment
- Field-based role with regular travel between sites
- Hands-on training and direct interaction with officers
- Overnight schedule with active involvement throughout the shift
