Schedule: Monday to Friday | 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM (40 hours/week)


Position Summary
Citadel Security USA is seeking a Full-Time Armed Security Officer to assist with transit-related security operations in the Frisco area. This position involves working in and around public transportation environments, including buses, transit stops, and supporting facilities.
The officer in this role will help maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere for passengers, transit employees, and visitors by remaining alert, responding appropriately to incidents, and maintaining a professional presence throughout assigned shifts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor activity on assigned transit routes, buses, and transit-related locations
  • Conduct routine checks of bus stops, loading zones, transfer areas, and nearby property
  • Maintain a visible armed presence to support safety and discourage disruptive behavior
  • Address policy violations, unauthorized activity, or safety concerns in accordance with procedures
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, or service calls using sound judgment and professionalism
  • Assist with securing transit facilities and designated buildings after operational hours
  • Observe surroundings for suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns and report findings promptly
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, transit personnel, passengers, and emergency responders when necessary
  • Follow all post orders, transit guidelines, and company policies during each shift


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must meet Colorado requirements for armed security positions
  • Authorized to carry a firearm while on duty in accordance with applicable laws and company policy
  • Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation
  • Strong verbal communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in public-facing situations
  • Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a consistent weekday schedule
  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making ability


Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in armed security, patrol operations, corrections, military, or law enforcement
  • Experience working in customer-facing or public transportation environments
  • Ability to manage interactions professionally in busy or fast-moving settings
  • Familiarity with incident documentation and security reporting procedures


Work Environment

  • Public transit environment with regular interaction with passengers and transit staff
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor assignments throughout the shift
  • Standing, walking, and riding transit routes required daily
  • Active work setting that may involve responding to unexpected situations
  • Consistent weekday schedule with potential overtime opportunities based on operational needs
