Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide weekend security coverage at a commercial facility in Owensboro. This position focuses on monitoring site access, verifying contractor and delivery traffic, observing surveillance systems, and supporting the daily security operations of the property.
The ideal candidate is attentive, professional, and capable of maintaining a secure environment while interacting courteously with employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Site Entry

• Verify and document incoming and outgoing trucks, contractors, and authorized visitors
• Monitor employee entry and exit points during scheduled operating hours
• Confirm access authorization in accordance with client procedures
• Maintain accurate visitor and contractor records

Security Monitoring

• Observe CCTV cameras to monitor activity throughout the facility
• Watch for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, or safety concerns
• Report unusual activity promptly to supervisors or designated site contacts
• Maintain continuous awareness of site operations during the shift

Patrol & Facility Oversight

• Conduct routine inspections of assigned interior and exterior areas
• Check entrances, gates, loading areas, and parking locations
• Identify potential security risks, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions
• Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment

Reporting & Communication

• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately
• Record significant observations and operational events
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and client representatives
• Always follow company procedures and site-specific post orders

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
• Professional appearance and customer focused attitude
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, access control, gatehouse operations, or industrial facilities
• Experience monitoring CCTV systems
• Familiarity with visitor management or contractor check-in procedures
• Basic computer skills for report preparation and recordkeeping
