Citadel Security USA is currently seeking a dependable Mobile Patrol Security Officer to provide flexible security coverage throughout the Fort Collins area. This position supports a variety of client locations by filling open shifts, assisting with staffing shortages, covering employee absences, and responding to operational needs as they arise.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety in their workday, can adapt quickly to different environments, and are comfortable working independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

• Compensation: Up to $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: Based on Operational Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Site Patrol & Security Presence

• Perform vehicle and foot patrols at assigned client properties
• Inspect building exteriors, parking lots, common areas, and perimeter locations
• Check gates, doors, fences, and access points for security concerns
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized activity, or property damage
• Maintain a visible presence to help discourage criminal or unsafe activity
• Monitor site conditions and identify potential safety hazards

Incident Handling & Site Support

• Respond to security-related situations according to established procedures
• Assist with lock checks, alarm investigations, and site-specific assignments
• Communicate urgent concerns to supervisors, dispatch personnel, or emergency responders when appropriate
• Adapt quickly to different post orders and client expectations
• Remain alert and responsive throughout assigned shifts

Documentation & Communication

• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation
• Record patrol findings and security observations in a timely manner
• Utilize company reporting platforms and mobile applications
• Maintain professional communication with operations staff and field leadership
• Follow all company policies, client directives, and site instructions

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Reliable personal transportation to travel between assignments
• Ability to safely operate patrol vehicles when assigned
• Basic proficiency using smartphones, tablets, and mobile reporting systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Flexibility to accept varying schedules and work locations

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is beneficial but not required:

• Prior experience in security, patrol services, customer service, or related field operations
• Familiarity with electronic reporting platforms and security software
• Experience working in commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use environments
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in changing situations
