Location: Grand Junction, CO 81506
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Most shifts fall on evenings and weekends, Hours depend on the event, Larger events may run longer or require advance availability

Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring Event Security Officers to work a range of events across Western Colorado. This can include concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other large gatherings.
The work is hands-on and takes place in busy environments. Things do not always go exactly as planned, so being able to stay aware, work with a team, and adjust in the moment is important.

Coverage Area:

Events are held throughout the region, including Grand Junction, Rifle, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Aspen, Vail, Montrose, Ouray, and Telluride.
You may be scheduled at different locations depending on event needs, so some travel is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining a visible presence around the venue
• Assisting at entry points (bag checks, ID checks when needed)
• Helping enforce venue policies, including alcohol rules
• Supporting crowd movement and keeping walkways clear
• Interacting with guests, vendors, and event staff in a professional way
• Watching for safety concerns or unusual activity and addressing it appropriately
• Following direction from supervisors and site-specific instructions

Minimum Qualifications

• Willing to travel within Western Colorado for assignments
• Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
• Able to stay alert in crowded, fast-moving environments
• Reliable and consistent in conduct and appearance
• Able to pass a background check

Preferred Experience

• Event security, crowd control, or similar experience
• Work in hospitality or large public venues
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions when things get busy
