Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Part-Time Unarmed Flex Security Officer to provide coverage at multiple client locations throughout Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and Grand Junction. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety in their workday and can quickly adapt to different assignments, schedules, and environments.
Flex Officers play an important role by filling open shifts caused by vacations, call-offs, special projects, and other staffing needs. Successful candidates are dependable, adaptable, and committed to delivering professional security services wherever assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Security Coverage

• Provide security coverage at a variety of commercial properties as assigned
• Fill open shifts resulting from employee absences, vacations, or operational demands
• Learn and follow site-specific post orders and client expectations
• Adapt quickly to new locations and changing assignments

Patrol & Property Monitoring

• Conduct scheduled interior and exterior patrols
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and common spaces
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment for employees, visitors, and clients

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to security-related incidents in accordance with company procedures
• Notify supervisors of emergencies, hazards, or unusual activity
• Assist first responders when necessary
• Exercise sound judgment while working independently

Documentation & Communication

• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors and dispatch personnel
• Document observations and actions taken during each assignment
• Follow company policies and client-specific procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned locations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work environments
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, customer service, or related fields
• Experience working at multiple client sites or in a flex role
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
