Join Our Event Security Team
Citadel Security USA is seeking professional and dependable Event Security Officers to support a variety of events across Western Colorado. Assignments may include concerts, festivals, sporting events, private functions, community gatherings, and other large public events.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in dynamic environments, interacting with the public, and helping maintain a safe and organized atmosphere during high-attendance events.


Event Locations

Officers may be assigned to events in:

  • Grand Junction
  • Rifle
  • Glenwood Springs
  • Eagle
  • Aspen
  • Vail
  • Montrose
  • Ouray
  • Telluride

Travel to different event venues may be required based on operational needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

Venue & Crowd Support

  • Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned event areas
  • Monitor guest activity and help promote a safe environment
  • Assist with crowd flow during event entry, operation, and exit
  • Observe gathering areas for safety concerns or policy violations

Access Control & Guest Services

  • Verify credentials, tickets, wristbands, or identification when assigned
  • Assist with bag inspections and entry procedures according to event guidelines
  • Help manage restricted-access areas and backstage locations
  • Provide directions and general assistance to guests and vendors

Incident Awareness & Response

  • Identify and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety hazards
  • Respond appropriately to incidents while following company and venue procedures
  • Communicate concerns promptly to supervisors and event management
  • Assist emergency personnel or venue staff when directed

Documentation & Communication

  • Complete incident reports and activity documentation when required
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors, team members, and event organizers
  • Follow post orders, venue policies, and assignment instructions throughout each shift


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background screening
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned event locations
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain professional in busy, fast-moving environments
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in event security, venue operations, crowd management, or guest services
  • Experience working with large public gatherings
  • Familiarity with access control procedures and event entry operations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining situational awareness


Work Environment

  • Fast-paced event settings with frequent public interaction
  • Indoor and outdoor assignments depending on venue location
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and monitoring event activity
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on event schedules
