Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is currently hiring a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer for a behavioral health facility in Edwards, Colorado. This position focuses on maintaining a safe and controlled environment through routine patrols, observation, and professional interaction with staff, patients, and visitors.
This assignment is well-suited for individuals who can remain calm in fast-moving situations, communicate effectively, and follow established site procedures while working in a healthcare-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of facility grounds and surrounding exterior areas
• Maintain a visible presence to help support safety and site operations
• Monitor activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy concerns
• Interact professionally with patients, employees, visitors, and contractors
• Assist with de-escalation situations while following site protocols
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergency situations
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Communicate updates and concerns with supervisors, dispatch, and facility contacts
• Follow all post orders, company policies, and client procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain professional and composed during stressful situations
• Dependable attendance and ability to maintain a consistent work schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, healthcare, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with de-escalation methods or crisis intervention techniques
• Experience preparing reports and documenting incidents
