Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security services at a commercial property in Owensboro, KY. This position is ideal for individuals who are observant, reliable, and comfortable working independently while conducting routine patrols and protecting client property.

The selected officer will perform scheduled interior and exterior inspections, monitor access points, complete off-site patrols, and respond appropriately to security concerns while maintaining a professional presence throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Property Patrol & Security Inspections

• Conduct scheduled foot patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and designated exterior areas.
• Perform routine interior and exterior security inspections to identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Completely assigned off-site patrols in accordance with operational requirements.
• Inspect doors, gates, windows, and other access points to verify they remain secure.
• Maintain a visible security presence to discourage unauthorized activity.

Access Control & Site Monitoring

• Monitor building entrances and confirm authorization before allowing access to restricted areas.
• Observe employee, contractor, and visitor activity throughout the property.
• Watch for suspicious behavior, trespassing, vandalism, property damage, or other unusual conditions.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, and security concerns promptly.

Incident Response

• Respond to incidents following client procedures and company policies.
• Notify supervisors or emergency responders when situations require escalation.
• Assist with protecting personnel, visitors, and company assets during emergency situations.
• Remain calm and professional while handling unexpected events.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation before the end of each shift.
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding operational updates.
• Record patrol observations and security-related activities using company reporting procedures.
• Follow all post orders, client instructions, and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work overnight weekend shifts consistently.
• Strong observation and critical-thinking skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, patrol, customer service, military, or law enforcement.
• Experience conducting building inspections and perimeter patrols.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and incident documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
