Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional and customer focused Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services at a busy outdoor retail and shopping destination in Denver. This position combines security responsibilities with customer service, helping create a safe and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, employees, and visitors.
The successful candidate will conduct both foot and vehicle patrols, monitor property activity, respond to security concerns, and serve as a visible presence throughout the shopping center. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to interact professionally with the public.

Key Responsibilities

Property Patrol & Security Operations

• Conduct routine foot patrols throughout retail walkways, common areas, parking lots, and surrounding property
• Perform vehicle patrols using a company-issued patrol vehicle
• Monitor entrances, storefront areas, service corridors, and exterior spaces
• Watch for suspicious behavior, safety concerns, trespassing, vandalism, or policy violations
• Help deter criminal activity through a visible and proactive security presence

Customer Service & Public Interaction

• Provide assistance and directions to shoppers, visitors, and tenants
• Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns
• Maintain positive interactions while enforcing site rules and security procedures
• Support a welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the property

Incident Response

• Respond to security-related situations, disturbances, or service calls
• Investigate and document unusual activity or incidents occurring on the property
• Coordinate with management, emergency responders, or law enforcement when necessary
• Follow established procedures during emergencies or operational disruptions

Reporting & Documentation

• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately
• Record patrol observations, security concerns, and enforcement actions
• Submit reports in a timely manner according to company standards
• Maintain clear and professional written communication

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License required
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with a minimum of three years of safe driving history
• Ability to safely operate a company patrol vehicle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and customer service mindset
• Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or security experience
• Experience conducting patrols in shopping centers, malls, or public venues
• Familiarity with report writing and incident documentation
• Strong observation and problem-solving abilities
