Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is looking for a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to provide weekend coverage across multiple assigned properties in Columbia, Missouri. This role is suited to someone who is comfortable driving between locations, performing scheduled inspections, recognizing unusual activity, and taking appropriate action when a concern arises.

Rather than monitoring just one fixed post, you will help maintain security across an assigned patrol area. Consistent site checks, responsible vehicle operation, timely communication, and accurate reporting are important parts of the job.
 

What You Will Do

• Complete Scheduled Patrols: Drive between designated properties and follow assigned routes and inspection schedules throughout your weekend shift.
• Check Property Perimeters: Inspect entrances, parking areas, exterior boundaries, and other designated locations for signs of unauthorized access, damage, or suspicious activity.
• Conduct On-Foot Inspections: Leave the patrol vehicle when appropriate to check assigned areas and investigate conditions that require closer attention.
• Discourage Unauthorized Activity: Maintain a visible security presence and report behavior or circumstances that may pose a risk to people or property.
• Respond to Security Calls: Attend reported incidents promptly, evaluate the situation, and follow established procedures within the limits of your training and authority.
• Follow Emergency Protocols: Notify supervisors and contact emergency services when warranted by an alarm, disturbance, safety hazard, or other urgent event.
• Record Patrol Activity: Enter completed checks, observations, unusual findings, and incident details into the required reporting system.
• Use Mobile Reporting Tools: Operate digital applications such as TrackTik or similar platforms to submit reports and communicate updates.
• Keep Supervisors Informed: Report significant concerns, incomplete checks, and situations that require follow-up or additional assistance.
• Work With Emergency Personnel: Provide relevant observations and information to law enforcement or other responders when needed.
• Drive Safely and Responsibly: Follow traffic laws, use the assigned vehicle appropriately, and report any mechanical or operational concerns.
• Follow Post Orders: Carry out assigned duties according to company procedures and instructions for each location.
   

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1–2 years of professional security experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel between assigned properties during the entire shift.
• Understanding of security procedures, emergency protocols, and post orders.
• Strong observation skills and the ability to identify potential safety concerns.
• Clear verbal communication and the ability to write detailed, accurate reports.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use electronic reporting applications.
• Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.
• Availability to work one of the listed Saturday–Sunday shifts.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Previous mobile patrol or multi-location security experience.
• Familiarity with TrackTik or comparable patrol tracking and reporting software.
• Experience responding to alarms, investigating unusual conditions, and documenting incidents.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining reliable communication with supervisors.
