Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services for a retail location in Lakewood, Colorado. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors through routine patrols, observation, and prompt reporting of security concerns.

This opportunity is well suited for individuals who are attentive, professional, and able to work independently while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain alert throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol Operations

• Patrol designated areas on foot and by vehicle to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Conduct routine inspections of the property throughout the assigned shift
• Check doors, windows, gates, and other access points to verify they are properly secured
• Maintain a visible security presence to support a safe environment

Security Monitoring

• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to company procedures
• Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel

Reporting & Communication

• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Record observations, patrols, and security-related events in a timely manner
• Communicate important information to supervisors and designated contacts
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and client procedures

Safety & Professional Standards

• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanour while on duty
• Operate a personal vehicle safely when required for assigned responsibilities
• Follow all safety procedures and applicable laws while performing job duties
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to changing situations throughout the shift

Qualifications

Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred

• Previous experience in security, retail security, or customer service
• Experience preparing incident reports and daily activity logs
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
