Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is looking for a reliable and experienced Unarmed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to oversee overnight patrol coverage across multiple assigned properties in the Sheridan, Colorado area.

This is a field-based position suited to someone who is confident behind the wheel, attentive to their surroundings, and capable of handling assignments independently. The officer will travel between designated locations, conduct vehicle and foot inspections, respond to service requests, and document any concerns discovered during patrols.Professionalism, dependable attendance, safe driving habits, and clear report writing are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Patrol & Property Inspections

• Drive between assigned properties and complete scheduled and unscheduled patrol checks throughout the shift.
• Inspect building exteriors, grounds, parking areas, gates, and other designated access points.
• Conduct foot patrols when necessary to check areas that cannot be properly inspected from a vehicle.
• Maintain a consistent security presence to discourage trespassing, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity.
• Follow assigned patrol routes, inspection schedules, and location-specific instructions.
• Identify maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, and unusual property activity, then report findings to the appropriate contacts.

Service Calls & Incident Response

• Respond to client requests involving complaints, unusual activity, or security-related concerns.
• Assess situations calmly and take appropriate action within assigned responsibilities.
• Contact supervisors or emergency services when additional assistance is required.
• Enforce property rules and established post orders in a courteous and professional manner.
• Provide accurate updates to the appropriate personnel regarding service calls and incidents.

Reporting & Communication

• Complete detailed patrol logs, activity records, and incident reports for each assigned shift.
• Document observations clearly, using proper grammar, spelling, and factual descriptions.
• Report suspicious activity, property damage, safety hazards, and other irregularities without delay.
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors and designated client contacts.
• Ensure patrol activity and required inspections are properly recorded.

Professional Standards

• Operate company or assigned vehicles responsibly and follow all traffic laws.
• Maintain a professional appearance and respectful approach when interacting with clients or members of the public.
• Protect confidential information and follow company procedures.
• Manage assigned duties efficiently while working with limited direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Valid, active driver's license.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• At least two (2) years of mobile patrol security experience.
• Strong driving ability and confidence navigating between multiple locations during overnight hours.
• Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout the shift.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to prepare accurate reports.
• Professional verbal communication and sound decision-making abilities.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow patrol instructions, company policies, and assigned property requirements.
