Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is hiring Event Security Officers to assist with coverage at concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other large gatherings throughout Western Colorado. The role centers on helping events run smoothly by maintaining order, supporting safety efforts, and interacting positively with guests.
This is an active, people-focused position. Officers are expected to stay engaged with their surroundings, communicate clearly with team members, and step in when situations need attention. It’s well-suited for individuals who are dependable and comfortable working in busy, high-energy environments.

Coverage Area

Events may take place across multiple locations in Western Colorado, including:

• Grand Junction, Colorado
• Rifle, Colorado
• Glenwood Springs, Colorado
• Eagle, Colorado
• Aspen, Colorado
• Vail, Colorado
• Montrose, Colorado
• Ouray, Colorado
• Telluride, Colorado

Traveling to different event sites will be part of the role based on scheduling needs.

Schedule

• Most shifts are during evenings and weekends
• Availability can be flexible based on your schedule
• Larger events may be scheduled in advance and require firm commitments

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional presence throughout event venues
• Conduct bag checks and verify IDs when required by event guidelines
• Support alcohol compliance and enforce venue-specific policies
• Assist with crowd flow and help prevent unsafe conditions
• Interact with guests, staff, and vendors in a respectful and helpful manner
• Watch for safety concerns or unusual activity and respond appropriately
• Follow all assigned procedures and company expectations during events

Position Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel within the Western Colorado region
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with the public
• Ability to stay focused in crowded, fast-paced environments
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while on assignment
• Must pass a background check prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in event security, crowd management, or similar roles
• Experience working at large events, venues, or hospitality settings
• Good situational awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Work Environment

• Assignments take place at live events such as concerts, festivals, and sporting venues
• Roles may require standing or walking for extended periods
• Work conditions can vary, including outdoor settings and large crowds
