Citadel Security USA is seeking a motivated and organized Event Operations Supervisor to support security operations at special events throughout Colorado's Central Mountain Region. This full-time position is responsible for assisting with event execution, supervising security personnel on-site, and ensuring each assignment is staffed and managed according to operational plans.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Events District Manager and Event Director while traveling to venues across the Western Slope. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys leading teams, solving problems in real time, and working in a fast-paced event environment where no two days are the same.

Primary Responsibilities
Event Operations Leadership
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of security operations at assigned events.
- Oversee on-site security personnel to ensure assignments are completed efficiently and professionally.
- Support the successful execution of staffing plans established by event leadership.
- Monitor event operations and adjust as operational needs change.
- Help maintain a safe and organized environment for guests, staff, vendors, and clients.
Staff Supervision & Coordination
- Assign officers to designated posts using staffing plans, site maps, and operational instructions.
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to event security personnel throughout each assignment.
- Verify staff attendance, shift coverage, and operational readiness.
- Communicate schedule changes, operational updates, and assignment information clearly.
- Promote professionalism, accountability, and excellent customer service among team members.
Safety & Operational Support
- Lead or assist with pre-event safety briefings and operational meetings.
- Ensure officers understand post orders, emergency procedures, and client expectations.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, venue procedures, and event requirements.
- Respond to operational concerns and assist with resolving on-site issues.
- Escalate significant incidents to the Event Director or management as appropriate.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain regular communication with the Event Director, District Manager, and field personnel.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, shift documentation, and incident reports.
- Document staffing changes, operational concerns, and event-related issues.
- Assist with post-event reporting and operational follow-up.
Technology & Administrative Support
- Utilize scheduling, communication, and event management software as required.
- Learn and operate company technology platforms used to support event operations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and electronic documentation.
- Assist with administrative tasks that support event planning and execution.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to travel regularly to event locations throughout Colorado's Western Slope.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Comfortable using computers, mobile applications, and digital communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in security, event operations, hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating teams during large public events.
- Familiarity with scheduling software, workforce management platforms, or event technology.
- Experience reading staffing plans, venue maps, and operational layouts.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Frequent travel to event locations throughout Eagle, Vail, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Grand Junction, Montrose, Telluride, Ouray, and surrounding communities.
- Combination of indoor and outdoor event venues.
- Fast-paced environment requires adaptability and sound judgment.
- Extended periods of walking, standing, and supervising field personnel.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday assignments based on event schedules.
- Occasional work in varied weather conditions during outdoor events.
