Citadel Security USA is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to assist with security operations at the Garfield County Jail. This assignment works alongside correctional staff and supports daily safety procedures inside the facility.

The position involves observing inmate activity, helping enforce facility rules, documenting incidents, and assisting correctional personnel when security issues arise. Officers assigned to this site must remain attentive and professional while operating in a structured correctional environment.

Duties during a shift may include

• Maintaining an armed security presence inside the jail facility
• Assisting correctional officers and deputies with maintaining order
• Observing inmate movement and activity within assigned areas
• Enforcing facility rules and security procedures
• Conducting routine security checks throughout designated sections
• Watching for safety issues or unusual behavior
• Preparing incident reports and documenting safety concerns
• Responding to security situations when they occur
• Supporting inmate transport operations if requested
• Following facility policies along with company security standards

Requirements for the position

• Personal duty firearm that meets company and legal requirements
• Ability to work overnight hours inside a correctional facility
• Strong observation and communication ability
• Professional conduct in high-security situations
• Ability to work cooperatively with deputies, correctional officers, and staff

Experience that can be helpful

• Prior armed security work
• Experience in correctional, detention, or law enforcement settings
• Familiarity with inmate supervision or transport operations

• Standing, walking, and monitoring for extended periods may be required
• Direct interaction with correctional personnel and inmates
