Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is hiring a Full-Time Armed Courthouse Security Officer to provide security services at a government courthouse in Eagle, Colorado. This position is responsible for maintaining a secure environment for court personnel, visitors, and public officials while supporting daily courthouse operations with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
This role requires a dependable individual who remains alert in a public-facing environment, follows established security procedures, and responds appropriately to security-related situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional armed security presence throughout the courthouse during operating hours.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated public areas to help maintain a safe environment.
• Observe visitor activity and report suspicious behavior or security concerns promptly.
• Verify authorized access to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, or other incidents while following established protocols.
• Work cooperatively with courthouse personnel, law enforcement, and other authorized agencies when necessary.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior security inspections of assigned areas.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required operational records.
• Enforce client policies, post orders, and company procedures consistently and professionally.
• Represent Citadel Security USA with courtesy, professionalism, and respect during all public interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Personal firearm that complies with all applicable state laws and company standards.
• Current armed security certification or ability to meet all Colorado armed licensing requirements before assignment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Professional appearance and customer service mindset.
• Ability to successfully pass required background screening and any client-specific security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience providing armed security services at government facilities, courthouses, or other public-sector locations.
• Military, law enforcement, corrections, or professional armed security background.
• Experience preparing detailed incident reports and maintaining operational documentation.
• Knowledge of courtroom security procedures and public building access control.

Work Environment

• Primarily assigned to an occupied government courthouse.
• Regular interaction with court staff, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and members of the public.
• Combination of standing, walking, and monitoring assigned areas throughout the workday.
