Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a highly organized and dependable Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to support field operations from our Fort Collins operations center. This administrative position serves as a central communication hub for security personnel, helping coordinate daily operations, monitor site activity, and provide timely support to employees and leadership.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates professionally, and can effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accurate documentation and operational awareness.


Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

  • Conduct daily phone check-ins with on-site security personnel and document operational updates.
  • Record employee concerns, recommendations, and operational challenges, then communicate findings to the Field Support Director.
  • Help maintain uninterrupted staffing by identifying coverage gaps and initiating established emergency staffing procedures.
  • Coordinate communication between field personnel, supervisors, and management.
  • Become familiar with post orders, site procedures, client expectations, and company policies to effectively support field operations.

Security Monitoring

  • Monitor surveillance systems and conduct virtual property observations.
  • Maintain awareness of security events through camera systems, telephone communications, and radio traffic.
  • Evaluate incoming information and determine appropriate response priorities.
  • Activate emergency patrol responses when operationally necessary.
  • Assist with reviewing and retrieving surveillance footage for investigations or client requests.

Employee & Client Communication

  • Contact employees during the beginning of their scheduled shifts when Field Support Managers are unavailable.
  • Respond professionally to employee and client inquiries while directing issues to the appropriate department.
  • Recognize employee achievements and communicate positive performance to management.
  • Escalate operational concerns require immediate attention.
  • Promote a professional, customer-focused culture through positive communication and teamwork.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed activity reports and operational summaries.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs throughout each shift.
  • Complete shift turnover notes to ensure continuity between SOC Operators.
  • Document incidents, staffing issues, and operational events with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with administrative reporting that supports daily security operations.

Technology & Operational Improvement

  • Support AI-assisted accountability and workforce monitoring initiatives by accurately reviewing and validating operational data.
  • Utilize security management software, surveillance platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance communication, operational efficiency, and employee accountability.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in administrative support, dispatch, operations coordination, customer service, or security operations preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC), dispatch center, command center, or operations support environment.
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems, security reporting software, or workforce management platforms.
  • Experience coordinating field personnel or managing communications across multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of incident reporting and security operations.
  • Experience reviewing digital video footage for operational or investigative purposes.
