Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations at a residential apartment community in Denver. This position is responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, communicating potential security concerns, and helping maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and property staff.
This is a critical role that requires strong reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, monitoring multiple camera feeds simultaneously, and communicating effectively with dispatch and on-site contacts.

Key Responsibilities

Surveillance & Monitoring

• Actively monitor multiple CCTV camera feeds throughout the shift
• Identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Observe entrances, exits, parking areas, and common spaces
• Report on security concerns promptly to dispatch or management

Communication & Incident Response

• Communicate clearly using radio and phone systems
• Relay important updates regarding security threats, disturbances, or hazards
• Respond appropriately to incidents while following site procedures
• Coordinate with dispatch and emergency personnel when necessary

Property Security

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence
• Monitor resident and visitor activity throughout assigned areas
• Assist with access control and restricted area monitoring when needed
• Support a safe and orderly residential environment

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete accurate activity logs and incident reports
• Record observations, communications, and security-related events in a timely manner
• Follow all post orders, site-specific procedures, and company policies
• Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and property operations

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Reliable personal vehicle required for commuting to and from the site
• Ability to work overnight shifts as scheduled
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to monitor multiple camera feeds while remaining attentive
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to remain calm and professional in changing situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous security, surveillance, dispatch, or customer service experience
• Experience working in residential or apartment community environments
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and incident documentation
• Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

• Residential apartment complex setting
• Primarily indoor monitoring with occasional on-site observation duties
